Mehran

Meet Mehran Zolfaghari!

Registered Manual Osteopath Practitioner

Mehran Zolfaghari is a registered Manual Osteopath practitioner. He is a graduate in manual osteopathy and he has many years of experience in the health science categories as; Mehran Zolfaghari completed his Master’s Degree in Health and Hospital Management and Occupational Health. Mehran is a health professional and also holds different certificates.
Prior to opening the health clinic, Mehran is a senior health consultant as he has over 20 years of experience in the Health and wellness field.
Osteopathy recognizes the relationship between structure and function. A simple analogy is the garden hose. If it is twisted (distorted structure) it can’t function optimally.

Similarly, if our human structure is compromised due to posture, injury, traumatic or lifestyle patterns then our physiology is compromised, Circulation, nerve supply, hormone secretion etc. are compromised. So when our body is “tuned well” it performs well.
An osteopathic manual practitioner conducts a physical examination to rule out any major health concerns and ensures a safe treatment. The practitioner assesses all systems and structures that may be related to the area of complaint.

Mehran has lots. Experienced in this area to help the patients who are suffering from physical pain, he is using Muscle Energy Techniques, Myo-fascia Joint mobilization, Trigger points, Shock wave therapy deep tissue and electrotherapy soft tissue.

Meet Aihong (Iris) Liu

R. AC and TCM

Aihong (Iris) Liu, is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) in BC. I completed my bachelor’s degree from China Pharmaceutical University in 1994.

I had seen how the Acupuncture relieved my mom’s pain of Shingles, and how the Acupuncture treated my son’s Hordeolum(stye) on his eyelid without touching the eyelid. All these let me fascinated by the Art of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Thus, I decided to go to Vancouver Career College to study Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Program (including Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine), and completed it in 2023.

During the program I finished more than 600 hours internship clinic time, and I remembered in the last day in school clinic, my patient brought a beautiful cake for the Acupuncture and herbs I did for her which helped her much in the insomnia and Depression.

Moreover I am an avid practitioner of Yoga for over 15 years, and I believe that, for some people who are suffering from body pain/soreness or unbalanced body structure, choosing some right Yoga poses as a daily exercise could be a good help after Acupuncture.

I also love Meditation, Taiji and Qigong. These energy works can be combined with Acupuncture to heal one’s energy from the heart since in theory of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), the core reason of disease comes from the heart.

I am a good communicator and team worker as I had been a Richmond School district translator during 2015-2017 and right now, I am a member of We Dance Association of Canada.

Scope of Treatment to improve.
• Stress Relief / Depression/ insomnia/ Migraines
• Pain relief (muscle / joint pain, neck/ shoulder/ lower back pain )
• Stress Relief / Depression/ insomnia/ Migraines

Meet Alex Hui

R. AC and TCM

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alex started out as a Martial Arts athlete. With a serious injury in the knee during his teens, he went to see numerous doctors but it did not help until he went to an acupuncturist. And it worked!

He was fascinated by the Art of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Thus leading him to complete his studies in Acupuncture, Tuina Massage, Cupping, and Herbal Medicine.

Alex is also a Tai Chi and Qi Gong (Energy Works) instructor. By combining Acupuncture and Qi Gong, he brings in the essence of acupuncture treatment – the healing of one’s energy. He views the body from a holistic approach and helps patients regain balance in their body-mind-environment in order to achieve optimal health.

One core principle of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is to help people ‘prevent the disease before its onset’ by analyzing and forecasting potential diseases that could happen in the future. Alex speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

To Alex, Chinese Medicine is not just a job. It is a way to help people, it is a way of life, it is Tao.

  • Internal Medicine (IBS and other digestive issues, Migraines, Cardiovascular issues, etc.)
