Dear valued patients,

We are open!

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.

Our community has been through a lot over the last year, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.

While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same, which is our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have observed this during your previous visits. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.

This page is to update and inform you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the Chiropractors, Physiotherapy, Massage therapy and Osteopathy Colleges. And Associations, the BC Centre of Disease Control, Workers Compensation Board (WCB) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You will observe some further changes when it is time for your next appointment. The following are changes to help further protect the health of our patients and staff:

o Our office will communicate with you beforehand to sign a consent form to assist us to pre-screen and to update patients with information we receive from our infection control professionals. You will be required to sign the consent form each time you come to our office

o We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed

o Presently, we are waiting for the arrival of the Clean Light Air. A UV light that will further sanitize air, eliminate bacteria, viruses, molds, pollen and other dust particles from air you breathe in our office

o Plexiglass has now been installed at our reception desk

o Pre- Rinsing is required for every patient to reduce exposure to germs

o Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect

o We are also not allowing any companions during your appointment except for the Parent/Guardian of children with appointments and patients with disabilities

o We require all team members to undergo a daily check and assessment for COVID-19.

o Appointments will be managed to allow for physical distancing between patients. We are limiting the number of patients we book in the office to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, your family, and every patient safe in our practice.
