How does five elements acupuncture work?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine there is a methodology called the 5 Element Acupuncture. The 5 elements are Fire (heart), Earth (stomach), Metal (Lungs), Water (Kidney), and Wood (Liver). The elements do not only exist for the body, but are a template that can describe all processes in nature. These elements represent the energies in the body, and have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 2000 years. The idea of the 5 Element Acupuncture method is to balance the five elements within our bodies. The treatment consists of “creating balance” of the elements governing your body
To begin the procedure we will evaluate each of the elements presence in your body through a series of tests on your body. We will look at the health and condition of your various body parts and functions, and then create a personalized acupuncture plan for you.
